I love WBD (World Book Day) so much that I\u2019m now making a post just about it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, we\u2019ll talk about its history, book recommendations, why we should celebrate and fun activities!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>History:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">World Book Day, celebrated annually on April 23rd by UNESCO since 1995, promotes reading, publishing, and copyright.&nbsp;<mark class=\"HxTRcb\">It originated from a Catalan tradition honouring author&nbsp;Miguel de Cervanteson his death date<\/mark>. The date also commemorates&nbsp;writers such as William Shakespeare&nbsp;and&nbsp;Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, making it a significant international literary celebration.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspired by Spanish writer Vicente Clavel in 1922 to honor Cervantes and boost book sales, first celebrated on Oct 7, 1926, before moving to April 23 (Cervantes&#8217; death date) in 1930.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">World Book Day was&nbsp;<mark class=\"HxTRcb\">inaugurated in the UK in 1998 by Prime Minister Tony Blair at the Globe Theatre<\/mark>, following the global UNESCO initiative launched in 1995. It can help with knowledge, achieve dreams and allow people to enter a new world.
